Job Summary:

As a Commi I – Chinese Cuisine, you will support the preparation and execution of authentic Chinese dishes within a Ministry of Tourism–certified 5-star hospitality environment. Working under the guidance of senior chefs, you will assist in delivering consistent quality, flavour, and presentation in line with established culinary standards. Your role includes supporting mise en place, assisting in cooking and plating, maintaining proper storage of ingredients, and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols. You will collaborate closely with the Chinese kitchen section and the wider culinary team to ensure smooth operations and timely service, contributing to a refined dining experience aligned with luxury hospitality expectations.

Qualifications
• Foundational skills in Chinese cuisine and kitchen operations
• Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and basic presentation standards
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
• Attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred
• Willingness to learn and grow within a luxury culinary setting
